Summer Celebration with Family & Friends
Becky and Mike had a gorgeous late July wedding at Fern Hill Barn, and they were such a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Their day was relaxed, fun, and filled with plenty of time to enjoy being with the people who came to celebrate with them.
They started with a first look at the back gazebo, followed by private vows together. From there, we explored the Fern Hill grounds for photographs of the two of them. Their dog, Rosie, joined us for some photos, and we also made sure to incorporate their Corvette for a few fun photographs that felt especially fitting for them.
One of the best decisions Becky and Mike made was completing all of their wedding party and immediate family photographs before the ceremony. With those photos finished ahead of time, they were able to spend most of cocktail hour visiting with family and friends instead of being pulled away for photographs.
Their ceremony took place outside with Mike’s sister officiating, which made it especially personal. Afterward, we used a little time during cocktail hour for some extended family and group photographs before Becky and Mike joined their guests.
The reception began with introductions and Becky and Mike’s first dance. They each also shared a dance with their moms before dinner and the rest of the evening got underway.
Later, we snuck outside for sunset photographs around the property. Late July evenings at Fern Hill can give us some beautiful light, and it was a perfect chance for Becky and Mike to have a few quiet minutes together before heading back to the party.
Becky then changed out of her wedding gown and into a fun floral party dress for the rest of the reception. From there, it was all about dancing and celebrating with their family and friends. It was such a fun ending to a beautiful summer wedding at Fern Hill Barn.
