Liane and Corey’s mid August wedding was one of those beautiful summer days that was perfect for celebrating outside with family and friends. From getting ready in the suites at Fern Hill Barn to dancing late into the night, their day was full of great moments and plenty of time spent with the people they love.
They both started the day getting ready on site before meeting for their first look in the greenhouse. After seeing each other for the first time, they exchanged private vows before we headed around the Fern Hill grounds for couple photos. With the first look built into their timeline, we were also able to photograph their families and wedding party before the ceremony.
Their ceremony included several Filipino wedding traditions, including the placing of the veil, the wedding cord, and a blessing of coins. These traditions made the ceremony especially personal and brought another meaningful connection to their families and heritage.
Because we had completed so many of their photos earlier in the day, Liane and Corey were able to spend cocktail hour visiting with their guests and enjoying the celebration.
Once everyone moved inside for the reception, Liane gave a speech before she and Corey shared their first dance. Later, instead of running from table to table for their photo dash, their guests came to them, making for a fast and fun way to get a photo with everyone at the wedding.
We snuck outside during the reception for a few golden hour photos while the summer light was still beautiful around the property. Later that night, we headed out once more for nighttime photos by the firepit before Liane and Corey returned to the dance floor.
It was such a fun celebration with a wonderful group of family and friends, and a beautiful mid August wedding at Fern Hill Barn.
