A Rainy Ceremony, Private Vows & a Party Dress | Sam & Ben
Sam and Ben’s wedding day at Fern Hill Barn was full of sweet, personal moments from the very beginning. Before getting dressed for the ceremony, they shared private vows together in the back gazebo. It was a quiet way to start the day and gave them a chance to have a meaningful moment together before the celebration began.
After Sam got into her wedding gown, she had a special first peek with her dad in the greenhouse. He was able to see her all dressed and ready before the ceremony, which made for such a sweet part of the morning.
Sam and Ben chose not to do a first look, but we were still able to take photos of each side of the wedding party separately before the ceremony. The rain held off for most of the day, but a little shower came through during the ceremony. Thankfully, umbrellas saved the day, and everyone handled it beautifully.
After the ceremony, we used the gazebo for cover during family photos until the rain cleared. Once it did, the full wedding party stepped outside for photos, and then we explored the grounds with Sam and Ben for couple portraits.
Their reception was full of great toasts, dancing, and plenty of fun. Later in the night, Sam changed into a cute party dress, the two of them even snuck outside for a few sunset photos before heading back in to dance with their family and friends.
Sam and Ben’s day was such a beautiful reminder that a little rain does not have to get in the way of a wonderful wedding day!
